AUSTIN, Texas -- Playing one of the nation's toughest courses, Northwestern's 38th-ranked Wildcats are in 14th place at the 26th Annual Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. NU freshman Alice Kim (Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood) led the 'Cats, shooting an 8-over 80. She is in 23rd place.

Texas, the host school, is in first place at 21-over. UNLV and Vanderbilt follow at 25-over and 28-over, respectively. The Wildcats are tied with Oregon State at 51-over.

Junior Mary Ellen Grzebien (Saunderstown, R.I./Narragansett) is 11-over and in 49th place. Freshman Kelly Robb (Concord, Mass./Middlesex School) is a stroke back at 12-over and in 59th place.

Junior Ina Kim (Encino, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) and freshman Heather Scholten (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) are in 86th and 89th place, respectively, at 20- and 21-over.

Purdue, the only other Big Ten competing in this strong field, is in seventh place at 33-over.
